The Consultation
Emily Kathryn Photography offers a boutique photography experience, meaning we walk you through the entire process and that starts with a consultation. We like to meet with each client & parent several weeks before the shoot to go over outfit styling and location ideas for the big day. We want your session to reflect your style & personality, so more we can customize your session, the better! With the EKP senior experience, you get unlimited outfit changes. That’s right! We will shoot as much as you like…until we run out of sunlight, that is!

We are proud to use THE best hair/makeup stylists at Mint on Main in Chatham for our seniors! Our girls are experts at applying camera-ready makeup (note: airbrush makeup is waterproof, which is super helpful for hot summer sessions!), so you know you’re in good hands. Our stylists want you to look your best, so you are welcome to bring in Pinterest ideas that you love for hair/makeup. We want you to walk away from the salon loving your look!
Now it’s time to shoot! We go over outfit options one more time to nail down our favorites and map out our plan for the day. Want to channel more of an urban look? No problem, we have tons of great locations that fit that vibe perfectly. Are you more of a country girl who wants barns and gorgeous green pastures in her photos? We’ve got that covered too! Want a mixture of urban and rustic photos? You got it! Our ultimate goal is that YOU love your photos, so we’re up for anything. We usually shoot for 2-3 hours, depending on locations and outfit changes, so be ready for a full day of modeling! The goal of the day is for you to have a fabulous, fun experience…so no stress is allowed! Don’t worry one bit about posing. That’s my job and I will guide you throughout the whole day. Oh...you better make plans to go out on the town after the shoot is over, because you’re going to look gorgeous!
viewing + ordering session
This is the truly exciting part – getting to see ALL your gorgeous images for the first time! I’ll post one or two sneak peeks on Facebook/Instagram, then your Viewing & Ordering Session will be 1 – 2 weeks after your shoot. That’s when you and your parents pick out prints/products. Our goal at EKP is to offer luxe, heirloom quality products that you’ll always have to remember your senior year by. Whether it’s a pearlescent leather album or a fine art canvas, you’re going to love the final results from your EKP experience.
